
NEW DELHI, 4 March (H.S.) : The
Anti-Narcotics Task Force team of the Shahdara district of Delhi has busted an
interstate drug racket and arrested two female drug smugglers from the Geeta
Colony area. 10.4 kg of ganja has been recovered from the accused. DCP Prashant
Gautam said on Tuesday, March 25, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force team received
secret information that a large quantity of ganja was going to be brought from
Bihar to Geeta Colony of Delhi.
As soon as the
information was received, a team of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force was formed.
The team included Inspector Ajay Kumar, SI Satyadev Panwar, SI Satish Kumar,
ASI Hitler Singh, Head Constable Sanjeev Kumar, Head Constable Ved, Head
Constable Vinay Kumar, Constable Deepak Gupta, Lady Constable Shivani, and Lady
Constable Pooja.
The team laid
a trap in the Geeta Colony area under the supervision of ACP Gurdev Singh,
after which two women smugglers who arrived in an auto were caught. 10 kg 400
grams of ganja was recovered from them. The accused have been identified, and a
case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act at the Geeta Colony
police station, and they have been arrested. During interrogation, she said
that she gets ganja from a youth named Sanju from Supaul in Bihar and supplies
it in Delhi. After this information, the police team arrested Sanju.
