Cairo (Egypt), March 04 (HS): The Arab League summit is going to start in Cairo today at 03 pm (local time) on the politics and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. The whole world’s eyes are on this summit. There is a possibility of a sharp reaction to the US President Donald Trump’s displacement plan announced in February at the conference.

This summit is being organized after Israel again started the blockade of Gaza on the second day of Ramadan. The purpose of this blockade is to put pressure on Hamas to accept the extension of the first phase of the ceasefire. About 20 lakh people are displaced in Gaza. These people are dependent on the entry of humanitarian aid. Israel’s attack on the West Bank continues. Raids have been carried out on the northern city of Jenin. One person has died in Jenin. Tulkarem, Hebron and Bethlehem have also been attacked. According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in Cairo on Tuesday to attend the summit. He has widely opposed US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.

According to the Daily News Egypt news, many leaders arrived in Cairo yesterday to attend the Arab League summit. Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatti met his counterparts from Iraq, Mauritania, Tunisia and Bahrain ahead of the summit to coordinate regional efforts. He also met Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Safadi confirmed his strong rejection of any forced displacement of Palestinians.

The summit is expected to discuss US President Donald Trump’s recent comments and the ‘plan’ announced at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. It is believed that Egypt may announce an important plan for the future of the Gaza Strip.
