Army chiefs briefs President on Operation Sindoor

New Delhi, May 14 (HS): On Wednesday, the three army chiefs, including the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), met with President Droupadi Murmu and informed her about India’s successful Operation Sindoor against terrorism.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday. The President is the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces.

According to Rashtrapati Bhavan, during this meeting, the President appreciated the bravery and dedication of the armed forces, stating that their valor has transformed India’s response to terrorism into a remarkable success.

On April 22, terrorists killed 26 innocent civilians in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor to bring justice to the victims, targeting and dismantling nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. More than 100 terrorists were killed in the operation.
