On Monday, in the Delhi Assembly, Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta offered flowers at the statue of Dr. Ambedkar.

New Delhi, April 14 (H.S.): A tribute program was held in the Delhi Assembly to mark the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Bharat Ratna. Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta honored Dr. Ambedkar by offering flowers at his statue, highlighting his unwavering fight for equality, social justice, and human rights.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and other legislators were Present at the event.

Gupta emphasized the global significance of the Indian Constitution, crafted by Dr. Ambedkar, which laid the groundwork for a discrimination-free society with equal rights for all. His struggles and ideas continue to inspire many, as highlighted by the Speaker.Dr. Ambedkar’s posthumous Bharat Ratna award symbolizes his contributions to social reform.

The event gathered a large audience, reflecting on the values of justice, freedom, and equality central to the Constitution.
