Dhaka, April 24 (H.S.): The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member team for the second Test match against Zimbabwe on Wednesday. This match will be played from April 28 at the Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chittagong. Two changes have been made to the team, with the biggest return being Anamul Haque, who is back in the Test team after nearly three years.
Anamul Haque is currently in excellent form in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League and recently became the first Bangladeshi batsman to score 50 centuries in recognized cricket. The 32-year-old last played Test cricket in 2022. Zakir Hasan, who was excluded from the team, did not get a chance in the first Test and has now been completely dropped.
The second change in the team comes with the replacement of fast bowler Nahid Rana, who is expected to play for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL. He has been replaced by left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam,
