Dhaka, April 25 (HS): The Bangladesh police rescued three Sri Lankan nationals kidnapped from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on April 22. The victims were in Bangladesh for business, invited by businessman Shahidul Sheikh. The kidnappers contacted their families, demanding ransom, which led to the arrest of four individuals: Kazi Imdad Hussain, Shahidul Sheikh, Johnny Sheikh, and SM Shamsul Alam.

The police launched a rescue operation in the Kodalia area of Mollahat Upazila, Bagerhat district, beginning at 12:15 PM on Thursday. DIG Mohammad Razaul Haque confirmed the safe recovery of the hostages and the subsequent arrests linked to the kidnapping for ransom.
