Delhi, 9 June (H.S): BCCI has released the revised venues for the international home season and the upcoming South Africa A tour of India in 2025. The Indian Men’s team will play against the West Indies and South Africa in a series of Test matches, ODIs, and T20Is on home ground. The IDFC First Bank Test series versus the West Indies is scheduled to kick off on October 2, 2025, in Ahmedabad. A change has been made where the second Test, initially planned for Kolkata, will now take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Additionally, the first Test against South Africa, set to start on November 14, 2025, has been shifted from New Delhi to Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
For the Indian Women’s cricket team, the IDFC First Bank ODI Series against Australia Women has been relocated due to ongoing renovations of the outfield and pitches at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Consequently, the first two ODIs will be hosted at the new PCA stadium in New Chandigarh, while the third and final ODI will take place at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi.
The tour by the South Africa Men’s A Team will see them face India A in two multi-day matches and three one-day games starting October 30, 2025. The adjustments in venue selections underscore the importance of upgrading stadium facilities. The cricketing community eagerly anticipates these series, with various teams set to showcase their talents on the Indian pitch, which promises engaging matches for spectators.
