NEW DELHI, 27 February (H.S.) : Delhi Minister Parvesh
Verma said an inquiry will be done into the “Sheesh-Mahal” controversy to find
out how much government money was spent in the renovation of the official
residence of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The PWD Minister Said, “A
grand Chief Minister’s residence at 6 Flagstaff Road, called ‘Sheesh-Mahal’ by
the BJP, built three years ago under the AAP government, its reconstruction and
on what basis the authorities allowed such expenses will be investigated.” When
CAG report discussed in the House, Delhi Minister Pravesh Verma said,
currently, it seems that entire Delhi has been damaged. The cost of the
Barapula project has already doubled from the sanctioned amount because there
was no follow-up from the government. The company working on that project has
told me that in the last 10 years no minister has come for follow-up.
Similarly, the cost of many projects has doubled due to no follow-up. On the
CAG report, he said, we will discuss the scam of Rs 2000 crore that has taken
place, ‘Sheeshmahal’ will also be investigated.
