BJP Ladakh pushes people-centric governance, organizational strengthening in Nubra; Tashi Gyaltson & Ashok Koul lead key review meeting
Srinagar, Dec 03 (KINS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ladakh held a pivotal meeting in Nubra Valley on Tuesday, focusing on expanding organizational capacity at the grassroots and accelerating development initiatives aimed at improving the lives of local residents. The meeting underscored the party’s renewed emphasis on people-centric governance, strengthened booth-level structures, and proactive public outreach.
The session was chaired by Tashi Gyaltson Khachu, State President BJP UT Ladakh, along with Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization) for Jammu–Kashmir and Ladakh. Senior party leaders including Tsering Sangdup (District President Nubra), Tsering Angchuk (Former Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh), Chosphel (BJP Leh District President), former councillors, Mandal Presidents, and members of the Yuva Morcha were present.
During the meeting, leaders discussed in detail the need to strengthen the BJP’s organizational framework at the booth and Mandal levels to ensure last-mile connectivity of the party’s welfare schemes and developmental initiatives. Emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination, improving public engagement, and ensuring that the party’s vision reaches every household in the Nubra Valley.
Senior leaders highlighted several pressing local issues, including infrastructural needs, community challenges, and gaps in public services. They stressed that the BJP must adopt a more responsive, people-first approach to governance in the region.
Addressing the gathering, State President Tashi Gyaltson Khachu said the active participation of grassroots leaders reflected the strong collective determination within the party.
“Our cadre in Nubra has shown exceptional commitment. BJP Ladakh is moving ahead with clarity of purpose to fortify our organization and deliver development that truly uplifts every individual in the region,” he said.
He further added that the party remains dedicated to ensuring that all ongoing and upcoming initiatives benefit every corner of Nubra Valley. “A robust organizational foundation is essential for responding effectively to public concerns and expanding BJP’s reach across the region,” he emphasized.
In his address, Ashok Koul reiterated BJP’s commitment to inclusive and holistic development. He appreciated the contributions of former BJP councillors in Nubra, noting that their efforts had laid a strong foundation for continued progress.
“The responsibility now lies with our cadre to build on that groundwork. Strengthening the organization at the grassroots will enhance our ability to meet public expectations and accelerate development across Nubra,” Koul said.
He also reviewed ongoing developmental projects in the region and stressed the importance of timely completion, transparency, and direct engagement with the public to address emerging challenges.
Former Deputy Chairman Tsering Angchuk delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the participation of all leaders and reaffirming the party’s commitment to strengthening organizational unity and ensuring sustained development in Nubra Valley.(KINS)
