
Chennai, 16 March (H.S.) : BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan has come out in support of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and JanaSena Party chief Pawan Kalyan’s statement on language. Soundararajan emphasized that Kalyan had clarified that he was not referring to Hindi, but rather another language.
We are not talking about Hindi, but another language that is our sister language, our brother language, Soundararajan said. During address to media , she said, Why can’t you learn it? We also learnt two languages, but the opportunity and challenges were less. Now, challenges are more.
Kalyan’s statement was made in the context of translating Tamil movies into other languages for commercial purposes. Soundararajan argued that if Tamil movies can be translated into Hindi for commercial purposes, why can’t other languages be accepted.
This statement highlights the ongoing debate on language and cultural exchange in India. Soundararajan’s defense of Kalyan’s statement underscores the importance of promoting linguistic diversity and understanding in the country.
