New Delhi, May 10 (HS): The Central Working Committee of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) decided on Saturday to immediately suspend all movements. This decision was taken under Operation Sindoor, initiated by India in response to the terrorist attack that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22. BMS has announced that all protests, demonstrations, and movements have been suspended until further notice. The organization has urged all employees of the Central Working Committee not to take leave unless absolutely necessary. In case of leave, employees are requested to cancel it and return to duty immediately.

BMS President Hiranmay Pandya stated that during this period of rising tension between India and Pakistan, the BMS Working Committee meeting resolved to stand firmly with the Government of India and the Indian Armed Forces. BMS condemned Pakistan’s delaying tactics and allegations were made during the committee meeting that Pakistan is creating a war-like situation.

Hiranmay Pandya expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah for making decisive decisions to address cross-border terrorism without any compromise and for demonstrating unwavering political will. He noted that the collective efforts and foresight of the three leaders have achieved national pride and instilled faith and trust among the general public.

Pawan Kumar, the North Regional Organization Secretary, directed 13 state general secretaries and federation general secretaries to instruct all affiliated unions, federations, and state units to suspend all types of strikes, movements, protests, and other forms of trade union activities. He remarked that during the wars of 1962, 1965, and 1971, as well as the Kargil war, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) had adopted a similar stance and demonstrated its unwavering national commitment. We must once again unite as a nation against foreign aggression.
