BSF seizes hundreds of drones from Pakistan in five months

Chandigarh, May 20 (HS): The Border Security Force (BSF), deployed on the India-Pakistan border in Punjab, has seized a hundred drones that crossed the border for infiltration so far this year. A large quantity of weapons and explosives has also been recovered, as reported by the BSF. A spokesperson for the BSF stated that on May 18 of this year, the force seized the 100th Pakistani drone that entered Indian territory. So far this year, 111 kilograms of heroin, 60 weapons, 14 grenades, and over 10 kilograms of high explosives have been recovered. He mentioned that three Pakistani infiltrators have been shot dead, while 66 Indian smugglers and three Pakistani nationals have been apprehended.

According to the BSF, the threat from drones was a significant challenge. It has been effectively countered through the BSF’s swift and strategic actions. Each drone infiltration is being carefully tracked, halted, and seized. With relentless dedication and operational excellence, the BSF Punjab Frontier has played a crucial role in securing the nation’s borders and has consistently ensured that any attempts to compromise national security are immediately thwarted.
