
Patna, April 8 (HS): In a tragic accident on Tuesday morning, four women from the same family, including a bride, were killed when their car was struck by a speeding truck on the Jandaha–Samastipur National Highway in Vaishali district. The incident occurred around 4 AM near Pansala Chowk. Three others, including the groom and the bride’s brother-in-law, suffered serious injuries and were taken to PMCH, Patna after initial treatment at Vaishali Sadar Hospital. The family was returning home after the bidaai ceremony of Dinanath Kumar, following a wedding in Navgachiya. The truck, reportedly out of control, caused a devastating collision that mangled the vehicle.The deceased include Babita Devi, the wife of Kranti Kumar, their 8-year-old daughter Sonakshi Kumari, and Mona Devi, an Anganwadi helper. Bride’s identity yet to be confirmed. Mahisour police station chief Ram Niwas confirmed the casualties and reported that the injured are receiving treatment, with bodies sent for post-mortem.
