Cash and Glasspool win Wimbledon men's doubles title.

London, 13 July (H.S.): Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool won the Wimbledon title, capping a remarkable grass-court season with a winning streak of 14 matches, having also triumphed at Queen’s Club and Eastbourne. They defeated Rinky Hijikata and David Pel in the final with a score of 6-2, 7-6(3), marking the first all-British men’s doubles title at a major since 1936.

Cash noted the intense pressure leading up to the event and described the victory as surreal. Glasspool expressed the desire to elevate British tennis further, referencing recent previous winners. Their quarter-final match tested their resilience, as they saved three match points against defending champions Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten.

With this win, Cash and Glasspool now lead the PIF ATP Live Doubles Rankings and have secured five titles this season, aiming for their debut at the Nitto ATP Finals. Cash reflected on their pre-season goals of reaching Turin and winning a Grand Slam, highlighting the support from their team despite previous limitations in their careers. In the final, they excelled with only five points lost on serve, finishing the match in one hour and 23 minutes before a full Centre Court crowd.
