Hangzhou, March 8 (HS): Zhejiang Lions announced on Friday that their star guard Sun Minghui has been ruled out for the remainder of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular season due to a fracture in the right heel bone.

28-year-old Sun Minghui suffered the injury during a close 98-100 loss against Shanxi Loongs on March 5. His right foot twisted outward during a rebound attempt. Medical examination confirmed a calcaneus fracture, after which he has been advised to rest for at least four weeks.

Zhejiang Lions are currently top of the standings with a 31-5 record, but without their main player they will face additional pressure to maintain this position. This season, Sun Minghui has averaged 14.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 9.5 assists per match.
