
Dubai, 23 February (HS): In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Indian team is facing arch-rival Pakistan on Sunday. This Group A match between the two teams is being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. After winning the toss and batting first in the match, Pakistan’s team collapsed for 241 runs in 49.4 overs. With this, the Indian team has got a target of 242 runs to win.
In the match, the first wicket of the Pakistan team fell on a score of 41 in the ninth over of the innings. All-rounder Hardik Pandya gave a good start to the Indian team by dismissing Pakistan’s experienced batsman Babar Azam. Babar was able to score 23 runs in 26 balls with the help of five fours. In the next over, the Pakistan team got a second blow. Opener Imam ul Haq was run out. Imam could score 10 runs in 26 balls. After this, Saud Shakeel along with captain Mohammad Rizwan took charge of the innings and took it forward. Both the batsmen made a century partnership and took the team’s score to 150 runs. This partnership was broken by Axar Patel. Axar clean bowled Rizwan. Rizwan scored 46 runs in 77 balls with the help of three fours. In the 35th over of the innings, Hardik gave the fourth blow to the Pakistan team. He sent Saud Shakeel to the pavilion. Shakeel scored 62 runs in 76 balls with the help of five fours.
Ravindra Jadeja took the fifth wicket of Pakistan. He clean bowled Tayyab Tahir. Tayyab could score only four runs. Then in the 43rd over, Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets in two consecutive balls. Kuldeep first dismissed Salman Ali Aga and then Shaheen Afridi. Salman Aga could score 19 runs, while Shaheen could not even open the account. Kuldeep took another wicket of Pakistan at the score of 222 runs. Naseem Shah was out after scoring 14 runs. Pakistan lost its ninth wicket at the score of 241 runs. Haris Rauf returned to the pavilion after being run out. Pakistan’s last wicket also fell in the form of Khushdil Shah on the fourth ball of the last over. In this way, Pakistan’s innings ended at 241 runs in 49.4 overs. Khushdil Shah scored 38 runs.
For the Indian team, Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets, Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Harshit Rana took 1 wicket each respectively.
