Taipei, (Taiwan) June 9(HS): Military tensions between Taiwan and China are escalating, with China imposing a blockade. As reported by Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND), by 6 AM local time, seven Chinese aircraft and eight naval ships were detected near Taiwan’s territorial waters. Of the seven aircraft, five entered Taiwan’s southwestern and eastern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The military monitored and responded to these incursions. Additionally, on Sunday, 11 Chinese flights and seven naval ships were recorded near the waters, with six flights crossing into Taiwan’s ADIZ. On Wednesday, Taiwan’s Coast Guard repelled four Chinese coast guard vessels near Kinmen County waters.
