China's Diplomatic Efforts for India-Pakistan Ceasefire: FM Dar Meets with Wang in Beijing

Beijing, 19 May (H.S.): China has expressed its willingness to play a constructive role in facilitating a lasting ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

This statement came as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in China for talks with top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi. Dar’s visit marks the first high-level interaction between Pakistan and China since India’s recent strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

During his three-day visit, Dar is expected to discuss a range of issues with China, including India’s decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty.

This visit highlights the strong bond between China and Pakistan, as China continues to support and stand by its all-weather ally in the face of increasing tensions with India.
