
Kathmandu, 23 February (HS): China’s Ethnic Affairs Minister Pan Yue arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday on a four-day visit to Nepal. This is the first ministerial level visit to Nepal from China after the signing of the implementation document of the Belt and Road Initiative Agreement between Nepal and China.
This Nepal visit of Chinese Minister Pan is taking place at the invitation of the Chairman of the Tribal Tribes Commission. Commission Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapamagar said that The delegation head,Minister Pan will stay in Nepal for four days and will participate in some programs of the Commission here. Thapamagar said that during his visit to China in December 2024, he had invited the Minister of Tribal Affairs to visit Nepal. The Chairman and members of the Tribal Tribes Commission welcomed the Chinese Minister when he arrived in Kathmandu this morning after completing his Colombo visit.
During his Kathmandu visit, Pan yue is scheduled to meet Nepal’s President Ramchandra Paudel, Vice President Ram Sahay Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Social Welfare Minister Nawalkishor Shah.
