CM reviews snowfall situation in J&K, directs swift restoration of power, water, road connectivity and essential services

Srinagar, Jan 23 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday chaired a high-level meeting here in Srinagar to review the situation caused by snowfall and extreme weather conditions across the Union Territory.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) directed all concerned departments to give top priority to the restoration of power supply and to ensure uninterrupted drinking water, healthcare services, road connectivity, and other essential facilities for the public.

He asked the district administrations to remain on high alert and be fully prepared to provide timely assistance to people affected by the harsh weather.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for close coordination among departments to speed up restoration work and minimise inconvenience to residents.

The administration was also instructed to closely monitor the weather situation and respond promptly to any emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of people across the Union Territory.

Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the ground situation and the progress of restoration works. (KINS)
