Congress appoints observers for the election of district presidents in Gujarat

New Delhi, April 12 (H.S.) : Congress has begun preparations for the 2027 elections, sanctioning the election of 41 district presidents in Gujarat. The task of finalizing these names falls to 50 All India Congress Committee (AICC) leaders and 183 Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) leaders, as revealed by general secretary K.C. Venugopal. Following the recent national convention in Gujarat, the implementation of resolutions has commenced. Observers have been appointed for the selection of district presidents.

Notable AICC observers include Balasaheb Thorat, B.K. Hariprasad, and others. The initial meeting of the observers is scheduled for April 15 in Modasa, marking a significant step in the electoral process.
