
New Delhi, April 22 (H.S.): The Congress party condemned the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the entire country is united against cross-border terrorism.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, in a statement released on Tuesday, strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, asserting that the entire nation stands united against cross-border terrorism. He emphasized that India’s national security is paramount, and urged the Indian government to take corrective measures to ensure it.
Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, stated that the news of tourists being killed and several others injured in this cowardly terrorist attack is extremely condemnable and heart-wrenching. He expressed deep condolences to the grieving families and reiterated that the entire country is united against terrorism.
Congress General Secretary and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra described the terrorist attack as a highly condemnable and shameful act, asserting that it is entirely unacceptable.
According to initial reports, terrorists attacked a group of tourists in the Baisaran village of Pahalgam in Anantnag district on Tuesday afternoon. One person was killed in the attack, while at least five others were injured.
