Continuous efforts continue to stop illegal infiltration: CM

– Four illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators arrested

Guwahati, 06 March (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday informed about four illegal infiltrators arrested in the state. He said that the Assam government is making continuous efforts to stop infiltration in the state and strict action will continue in this direction.

Chief Minister Dr. Sarma informed that the Assam Police detained four Bangladeshi nationals for illegally entering the state and sent them back. The arrested Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Mohammad Rafiq, Mohammad Salim, Zakir Hussain and Mohammad Saidur.

Dr. Sarma praised the action of Assam Police and said that his government is adopting a strict policy against illegal infiltrators and is constantly making efforts to stop such incidents. He said that there will be no compromise with the security of the state and the government is committed to completely stop infiltration.

It is worth mentioning that illegal infiltration has been a serious issue in Assam and the government is constantly making efforts to stop it. Police and other security agencies are keeping vigil in the border areas to stop the entry of illegal immigrants into the state.
