Islamabad, May 7 (HS): Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl), criticized the Pakistani government for not taking India’s warning seriously, which he believes has led to the current tensions surrounding India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan.
Speaking at a press conference outside Parliament in Islamabad, he expressed grave concerns about national security and accused the federal government of lacking seriousness and preparedness in response to increasing Indian aggression. He emphasized that Pakistan is in a vulnerable stage and called for the government to inform Parliament about its readiness.
The Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, and the Defense Minister were all absent from the House. In such a situation, whom should we talk to? Who is listening? He made it clear that his party has boycotted the parliamentary proceedings in protest.
He lamented the absence of key government officials during the parliamentary session, noting that this lack of representation raises questions about accountability.
Rehman declared his party’s boycott of parliamentary proceedings in protest and underscored the importance of national unity in the face of potential war threats, stressing that the entire nation must unite, not just the armed forces, to avoid internal discord.
