New Delhi, March 12 (H.S.): The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has directed the Tihar Jail administration to present a conduct report of Christian Michel, accused in the Augusta Westland scam case, during his time in jail. Special Judge Sanjeev Agrawal ordered the next hearing of the case to be held on March 18.
In fact, Michel has sought a conduct report during his six years of imprisonment. He has filed this petition because, according to jail rules, if a prisoner’s conduct is good, they can have their sentence reduced by one month for every year served. On March 11, the court had directed the jail administration to allow Michel to apply for a passport so that he can comply with the conditions of his bail. Michel stated that his passport has expired and he needs to apply for a new one to return to his country.
Michel has already received bail in both the CBI and ED cases related to the Augusta helicopter scam. The Delhi High Court granted him bail in the money laundering case on March 4. In the case connected with the CBI, Michel has already been granted bail by the Supreme Court.
