CPI(M) inaugurates new party office on auspicious day; Baby claims Christianity as best religion

Thiruvananthapuram, 23 April(HS): The ruling CPI(M) in Kerala, which is famous for its stance against anything Indian. Bharatiyata and Sanatana Dharma, chose 23 April as the most suitable day to inaugurate the party’s State Committee office at the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram.

The day, the 10th of Malayalam month Medam, is known as Pathamudayam and is the most auspicious day of the season. The CPI(M) and its leaders publicly denounce such beliefs and are totally against astrology, vasthu, and offering to the gods. They describe astrology as religious obscurantism and superstition.

M A Baby, the general secretary of the party was the chief guest during the inaugural function. Since Baby is a hardcore Christian, the party also chose A Vijayaraghavan as chief guest. Sources close to the party told Hindustan Samachar that pooja and homa were performed in the early hours of the day to propitiate Lord Vighneswara and Goddess Saraswathi to invoke their bleassings.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Baby wrote an article in a Malayalam daily eulogizing Pope Francis XVI who passed away on Monday. He claimed in the article that it was because of his life as a Christian he could become an internationally known leader which is being seen as an open invitation to the Hindus in the State to convert to Christianity.
