24 April (H.S.): A woman resident of Amroha district filed a case in Moradabad

court and said that in a village of Moradabad’s police station Bhagatpur area,

she was made unconscious by giving her a cold drink laced with intoxicants.

After this, the accused raped her. He blackmailed her for two years by making

photos and videos. The victim said that when she protested, the accused and his

family members pressured her to change her religion. In this case, the court

ordered Bhagatpur police station to register a case and take action. Police

Rural Kunwar Akash Singh said that on the court’s order, a case has been

registered today against the father-son and two women. Further action will be

taken on the basis of whatever facts come out in the investigation.

According

to a woman resident of a village in the Rajabpur police station area of

​​Amroha district, she knew Rizwan, a resident of Chandpur village in Bhagatpur

area. When the woman’s health deteriorated, the young man asked his father to

get her an amulet. The woman says that on 19 September 2022, she reached

Chandpur village to get a talisman from the accused’s father. The accused Rizwan

took her to the room on some pretext and made her drink a cold drink laced with

intoxicants. The victim says that when she regained consciousness, she came to

know that the accused had taken her photos. The accused raped her by

threatening to make the photos viral. The victim went to her home. Fed up with

the blackmail, the victim went to his house to complain about it on August 20, 2024,

where the accused’s family members beat her up and pressured her to embrace

Islam.
