Delhi CM Rekha Gupta

NEW DELHI, 13 March (H.S.) : The newly established government in Delhi, led by the BJP, has begun to retract cases that were initiated by the former AAP administration against the Lieutenant Governor, as well as against its own departments and bureaucrats.

Officials from the Delhi Government have indicated that this decision aims to prevent any conflicts with the Centre or the Lieutenant Governor in the administration’s operations. They stated, The double engine government is now functioning, and as you can see, there are no differences. The Department of Law, Justice, and Legislative Affairs, following directives from Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has instructed senior bureaucrats to initiate the withdrawal of cases initiated by the ministers responsible in the former government. Reports indicate that the process is already underway, with a lawyer in the Supreme Court being requested to provide no-objection certificates (NOCs) for the withdrawal of one such case.Officials stated, We have made the decision to retract all cases that were initiated in the context of political hostility towards the Lieutenant Governor and the Central Government. We will accelerate the withdrawal process and will not postpone until the scheduled court dates, as our time and resources are being squandered on these matters.
