16 March (HS): The Uttar Pradesh government aims to
promote religious tourism through beautification of religious places and
development of infrastructure. This initiative is also likely to boost the
local economy, state tourism minister Thakur Jaiveer Singh said on Sunday. Tourism
and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that the Uttar Pradesh government is
constantly making efforts to promote religious tourism. In this series, Rs 1.29
crore has been sanctioned for the beautification and tourism development of the
ancient Devarshi Narad Muni temple located in village Narkhi Dhokal of
Firozabad district. Rs 40 lakh has been released as the first installment of
this project. The Tourism Minister inaugurated this work.
He
said that with this amount, multipurpose hall, toilets, benches and other
necessary facilities will be arranged. This will provide better facilities to
the devotees and the temple complex will be more organized. The government aims
to promote religious tourism through beautification of religious places and development
of infrastructure. This initiative is also likely to boost the local economy.
The
Tourism Minister said that the Uttar Pradesh government is constantly focusing
on the development of religious places. This will not only provide better
facilities to the devotees, but will also give new energy to local tourism. The
renovation of the Narad Muni temple is considered an important step in this
direction. The news of the beautification of the temple has excited the local
people and devotees. They are hoping that this initiative will not only
increase the historical importance of the temple, but will also create new
employment and business opportunities in the area. District Magistrate Ramesh
Ranjan along with other officers and BJP leaders were present on this occasion.
