
Chennai, 11 April (H.S.) : The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party has appointed Trichy Siva, a Member of Parliament, as its new Deputy General Secretary. To mark the occasion, Siva met with the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and party leader, M.K. Stalin, at the party office in Anna Arivalayam on April 11, 2025.
The meeting was attended by several key party officials, including Duraimurugan, General Secretary of the association; D.R. Balu, MP, Treasurer; A. Iraza, MP, Deputy General Secretary; R.S. Bharathi, Organizing Secretary; D.K.S. Ilangovan, Press Secretary; and Dayanidhimaran, MP, Sports Development Team Secretary.
Trichy Siva is a seasoned politician with extensive experience in the Rajya Sabha, representing Tamil Nadu since 200 and has been an influential voice in the party, championing various social causes, including the rights of the transgender community.
The appointment of Trichy Siva as Deputy General Secretary is seen as a significant move by the DMK party. As Deputy General Secretary, Siva will play a crucial role in shaping the party’s policies and strategies.
