He urged the people of all the three regions to come together and form a Joint Coordination Committee to strengthen collective efforts against terrorism and to promote lasting peace in the Union Territory.
The members of the DSS executive highlighted that Pahalgam terror attack is an indicator of a serious security lapse on the part of the administration, as there were no proper security arrangements in place at the newly inaugurated mega tourist destination where hundreds of tourists were reportedly present. They demanded a detailed enquiry into this security lapse.
Moreover, they urged the Government to strengthen the grassroot institutions like Panchayats, Numberdars, Chowkidars, and VDCs which can play a more active role in combating such heinous acts of terrorism including narco terror.
