Domestic stock market falls, Sensex and Nifty slip in early trade

Sensex and Nifty Soar, But Volatility Looms

New Delhi, February 12 (HS): The domestic stock market is under pressure for the sixth consecutive day today during early trade. Today the market opened with weakness. After the start of trading, the selling pressure kept increasing, due to which the weakness of both Sensex and Nifty indices also increased. After the first hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a weakness of 1.15 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 1.02 percent.

After the first hour of trading, among the stock market’s leading stocks, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Tata Consumer Products, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Infosys shares were trading with strength ranging from 0.77 percent to 0.13 percent. On the other hand, shares of Bharat Electronics, Mahindra & Mahindra Adani Ports, Reliance Industries and Hero MotoCorp were seen trading with a decline of 3.43 percent to 2.59 percent.

So far, there was active trading in 2,444 shares in the stock market. Of these, 225 shares were trading in the green mark by making profits, while 2,219 shares were trading in the red mark by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 4 stocks remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 26 stocks were trading in the red mark due to selling pressure. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 6 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and 44 stocks in the red mark.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a weakness of 105.36 points at 76,188.24 points. As soon as the trading started, the weakness of this index kept increasing due to the selling pressure. Due to continuous selling, the index fell to 75,388.39 points around 10 am. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 75,414.08 points with a weakness of 879.52 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty today started trading at 23,050.80 points, slipping 21 points. As soon as the market opened, the index also kept falling due to selling. Due to continuous selling, the index fell to 22,814.50 points. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Nifty was trading at 22,835.90 points with a weakness of 235.90 points. Earlier on Tuesday, the last trading day, the Sensex closed at 76,293 points with a loss of 1,018.20 points or 1.32 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty ended Tuesday’s trading at 23,071.80 points with a fall of 309.80 points or 1.33 percent.
