New Delhi, May 20 (HS): The visit of EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar to the Netherlands on May 19-20 significantly advanced bilateral relations, as highlighted by the Ministry of External Affairs. Dialogues and agreements from the visit reinforced the strategic partnership between India and the Netherlands, enhancing cooperation in trade, science, water management, agriculture, health, education, and culture. EAM Jaishankar and Dutch counterpart Kasper Wieldcamp also focused on emerging areas such as digital technology, semiconductors, AI, and green hydrogen.

Discussions with Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans aimed at strengthening defense cooperation, while meetings with Prime Minister Dick Schoof addressed counter-terrorism collaboration. Jaishankar further engaged with think tank experts on India-Netherlands/EU cooperation in a multipolar world and connected with the Indian diaspora, strengthening ties within the community.
