Guwahati, 28 April (HS): Based on intelligence information, the EGPD team under Basishtha police station raided a hideout in Beharabari area and arrested a notorious drug peddler Moidul Islam alias Raju (33), resident of Lalmati.

During the raid, the team recovered a total of 31.52 grams of heroin kept in four boxes. Apart from this, 26 empty vials, a mobile phone and a scooty (AS01DL 4036) were also seized.

Police said that interrogation of the accused is going on and other people associated with the network are being searched.
