EJAC to support ‘Jammu Chalo’ protest prog on Apr 21-22

Jammu, 20 April (H.S.): The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-R) has appealed all the Government employees and daily rated/ casual and need based workers to support proposed Jammu Chalo protest program of the Government workers (DRWs) on April; 21-22 at Hari Singh Park.

Talking to media–persons, senior members of the United Front, Babu Hussain Malik and Yash Pal Sharma issued appeal to all the daily rated/ casual/ need based workers and employees unions / associations to come on one platform and support on the proposed Jammu Chalo protest program of the Government employees/workers at Maharaja Hari Singh Park, at Tawi bank. All must should show solidarity with the daily rated workers waging struggle since long, they added.

They also urged the LG Administration and Omar Government to address the long pending issues of the daily rated and other workers with regard to regularization after coming out with a definite policy, release of pending wages of the PHE/ Irrigation and other workers, enhancement of the wages by implementing latest Minimum Wages Act in J&K.

The EJAC leaders also demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance of the employees in J&K upto Rs 1000 per month, clearing all the pending SRO 43/120 cases and expedite this process as assured by the Chief Minister.

The EJAC leaders further appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and National Conference to honour commitment regarding regularization of daily wagers without any delay.

Senior members- Kulwant Singh, Munish Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Kamla Sharma and others were also present.
