Chennai, 17 May (H.S.) : AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) has accused the DMK government of deceit, citing that funds allocated for the Right to Education (RTE) Act were not utilized over the last two years. Palaniswami alleged that the DMK’s inaction has deprived thousands of students of the benefits meant for them under the RTE.

Palaniswami’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the state’s education sector, with the opposition demanding accountability and transparency in fund utilization. The RTE Act aims to provide free and compulsory education to children between the ages of 6 and 14.

The AIADMK leader’s allegations have sparked a debate over the government’s priorities and its commitment to education. As the controversy unfolds, stakeholders are urging the government to clarify its stance on RTE fund utilization and take concrete steps to address the issue.
