Fake marksheets degrees recovered from private varsity in Hapur, dozen people including chairperson and kingpin detained

Hapur, 18 May (HS): A huge number of fraudulent marksheets and

degrees were found at a private institution in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district

on Saturday evening during a search by the UP Special Task Force, according to

police sources on Sunday.

According to reports, university chairman Vijendra Singh Hooda, as well as

staff members Kamal Batra, Imran, Gaurav, Mukesh Thakur, NK Singhal, Vipul

Chaudhary, and Abhishek Pandey, were held during the raid late Saturday

evening. After arriving to Monad University in Pilkhuwa, the STF crew

confiscated critical papers, computers, and other stuff. The STF team took

computers and papers into custody, interviewed the owner and personnel, and

conducted an investigation lasting around five hours.

In a statement, ADG STF Amitabh Yash stated, In the

process of investigating an application, action was taken by the STF Lucknow

Headquarters team at Monad University, Hapur, where whopping number of

fraudulent mark sheets, degrees, and other documents were discovered, and

roughly a dozen persons were arrested, including the university head and

primary offender, Vijendra Singh Hooda, he claimed.
