Neuve chapel (France), 28 February (HS): India’s Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi,laid a wreath at the Indian War Memorial in Neuve-Chapelle, France, honouring the supreme sacrifice of Indian soldiers who fought valiantly during World War I.

Army Chief General Dwivedi left for a four-day visit to France on February 23 with the aim of promoting India-France defense cooperation. General Dwivedi will hold talks with senior French military leadership at Les Invalides in Paris on the first day of the visit on February 24. The next day he visited the 3rd Division of the French Army in Commercy. On February 26, he visited Carpiagne and observed the dynamic performance of the Scorpion Division with live firing exercises. He visited the Indian War Memorial at Neuvechapel on February 27.
