Girls Excel in High Madrasah Exams; Chief Minister Extends Congratulations

Kolkata, 3 May (H.S.): The results of the High Madrasah, Alim, and Fazil examinations were declared on Saturday in West Bengal, with girl students outperforming boys across categories. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated all successful candidates and wished them a bright future.

In a message shared on her X handle on Saturday, the Chief Minister expressed hope that students who passed would continue to achieve greater heights. She also encouraged those who did not meet expectations this year to remain hopeful and not lose heart.

The results were declared 40 days after the conclusion of the examinations. This year, a total of 44,073 students appeared for the High Madrasah exams, including 15,420 boys and 28,653 girls. In the Alim exams, 11,588 candidates took part—6,302 boys and 5,286 girls. Meanwhile, 4,713 students appeared for the Fazil exams, comprising 2,631 boys and 2,082 girls. Altogether, 60,374 students sat for these exams, with 24,353 boys and 36,021 girls.

The pass percentage in the High Madrasah examination stood at 90.32%. The Alim examination recorded a pass rate of 92.81%, while Fazil saw a success rate of 93.15%. These figures reflect an improvement over last year when the pass percentages were 82.97% for High Madrasah, 92.16% for Alim, and 92.89% for Fazil.

Chief Minister Banerjee stated, “My heartfelt congratulations to all students who passed the High Madrasah, Alim, and Fazil examinations. I am confident that you will achieve even greater success in the future. On this special day, I also extend my gratitude to your parents, teachers, and guardians, whose support made this achievement possible.”
