New Delhi, March 26 (H.S.): Positive signals are emerging from the global market today. The American market remained upbeat during the previous session. Dow Jones futures are also looking to trade higher today. European markets witnessed continued buying during the last session as well. Similarly, Asian markets are showing a generally positive trend today.
The American market was filled with enthusiasm during the previous session, which allowed Wall Street indices to close strongly. The S&P 500 index closed up by 0.16 percent at a level of 5,776.65 points. Likewise, the Nasdaq rose by 0.46 percent to conclude the previous session’s trading at a level of 18,271.86 points. Dow Jones futures are currently trading up by 0.12 percent at a level of 42,636.64 points.
European markets also saw continuous buying during the previous session. The FTSE index closed with a gain of 0.30 percent at a level of 8,663.80 points. Similarly, the CAC index jumped by 1.06 percent to end the previous session’s trading at a level of 8,108.59 points. Additionally, the DAX index closed up by 257.13 points, or 1.11 percent, at a level of 23,109.79 points.
Asian markets are generally positive today. Out of the 9 markets in Asia, 8 indices are trading in the green with strength, while only one index remains in the red with a decline. The only exception in the Asian markets, the Taiwan Weighted Index, is currently trading down by 0.10 percent at a level of 22,251.32 points.
On the other hand, the GIFT Nifty is trading up by 0.11 percent at a level of 23,705 points. Similarly, the Straits Times Index has reached a level of 3,967.18 points with an increase of 0.32 percent. The Jakarta Composite Index has seen a significant jump today, currently soaring by 219.27 points or 3.52 percent to a level of 6,454.89 points.
The KOSPI index is also showing strength, trading up by 0.87 percent at a level of 2,638.69 points. Additionally, the Nikkei index has gained 254.79 points or 0.67 percent, reaching a level of 38,035.33 points, while the SET Composite Index is up by 0.60 percent at a level of 1,192.08 points. The Hang Seng index has jumped by 0.22 percent to a level of 23,394.94 points, and the Shanghai Composite Index is trading higher by 0.18 percent at a level of 3,375.97 points.
