Global market sends mixed signals;Selling pressure in Asia

New Delhi, July 29 (H.S.): Mixed signals are evident in the global market today. U.S. markets ended stronger in the previous session, with Dow Jones futures showing gains. The S&P 500 rose by 0.02% to 6,389.77 points, while the Nasdaq increased by 0.33% to 21,178.58 points. Dow Jones futures are currently up by 0.08% at 44,873.65 points.

In contrast, European markets faced selling pressure, with the FTSE down 0.43% at 9,081.44 points, the CAC declining by 0.43% to 7,800.88 points, and the DAX decreasing by 1.03%, closing at 23,970.36 points.

Asian markets are generally under pressure today, with 7 indices trading in the red. The KOSPI index rose by 0.52% to 3,226.13 points, and the Jakarta Composite increased by 0.25% to 7,634.10 points.

However, the GIFT Nifty is down by 0.08% at 24,689 points, while the Shanghai Composite slipped by 0.08% to 3,595.19 points. The Hang Seng index declined significantly by 1.10% to 25,280 points, with other indices like the Taiwan Weighted Index, Nikkei, Straits Times, and SET Composite also recording losses.
