Delhi, 13 October (H.S.): Global markets are indicating weakness on Monday, with US markets closing lower in the previous session and Asian indices experiencing a broad-based sell-off today. While Dow Jones Futures are showing strength in early trading, European markets also ended the last session under significant pressure.

Fears of a deepening trade war between the United States and China created a cautious atmosphere on Wall Street during the previous session, leading to sharp declines in major indices. The S&P 500 index fell by 182.60 points, or 2.71 percent, to close at 6,552.51.

Similarly, the Nasdaq Composite saw a substantial drop of 820.20 points, or 3.56 percent, ending its session at 22,204.43. However, following a softer stance on China tariffs by Donald Trump on Sunday, Dow Jones Futures are currently trading higher, up 361.80 points (0.80%) at 45,841.40.
