Golconda Blue Diamond Set for Historic Auction in Geneva

Geneva, April 15 (HS) – The royal diamond, once the pride of India, the Golconda Blue, is set to be auctioned for the first time in Geneva. The auction will be conducted by Christie’s on May 14, with its estimated price ranging from about $36 to $48 million (300 to 400 crores).

According to a spokesperson from Christie’s, this dazzling blue diamond weighs 23.24 carats and has been set into a ring by a designer from Paris. Preparations for the auction are underway in Geneva. This diamond was previously owned by the Maharajas of Indore and Baroda in India, but over time, it made its way to Geneva.
