
Delhi, 24 October (H.S.): Precious metal prices in India’s domestic bullion market continued their downward trend on Friday, with gold recording its fifth consecutive day of losses. The sustained sell-off saw the yellow metal’s price fall by a significant margin of ₹750 to ₹810 per 10 grams. Silver also weakened, shedding ₹1,000 per kilogram.
Following the latest price adjustment, 24-carat gold traded in a range of ₹1,25,070 to ₹1,25,220 per 10 grams across major national markets. Correspondingly, 22-carat gold was priced between ₹1,14,640 and ₹1,14,790 per 10 grams.
In the Delhi bullion market, silver prices settled at ₹1,58,900 per kilogram.Price variations were observed across major metropolitan centers. In the capital, New Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at the higher end of the range at ₹1,25,220 per 10 grams, a price point mirrored in cities like Lucknow and Jaipur.
Meanwhile, in the financial hub of Mumbai, as well as in Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, the price for 24-carat gold settled at ₹1,25,070 per 10 grams.
The decline was consistent across the country, reflecting a broad-based weakening in sentiment for precious metals.
