
New Delhi, September 8 (HS): A strong upward trend continued in the domestic bullion market today, driving gold prices to fresh record highs. Riding on today’s surge, 24-carat gold crossed the ₹1.08 lakh mark, while 22-carat gold moved closer to the psychological level of ₹1 lakh. Silver also added sparkle with prices climbing by as much as ₹1,000 per kilogram.
In most bullion markets across the country, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,08,460 and ₹1,08,610 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was seen quoting between ₹99,350 and ₹99,500 per 10 grams. Silver strengthened further, selling at ₹1,27,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In the national capital, 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,08,610 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹99,500 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold traded at ₹1,08,460 per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold at ₹99,350. Ahmedabad reported retail gold prices at ₹1,08,510 for 24-carat and ₹99,400 for 22-carat. Chennai and Kolkata both witnessed similar levels, with 24-carat at ₹1,08,460 and 22-carat at ₹99,350 per 10 grams.
Other key cities also saw strong gains. Lucknow reported 24-carat gold at ₹1,08,610 and 22-carat at ₹99,500, while in Patna prices stood at ₹1,08,510 and ₹99,400 respectively. Jaipur recorded 24-carat gold at ₹1,08,610 per 10 grams and 22-carat at ₹99,500.
Parallel upward movement was seen across southern and eastern markets. In Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was pegged at ₹1,08,460 per 10 grams, whereas 22-carat gold was trading consistently at ₹99,350.
