
New Delhi, Aug 27 (HS): On the festive day of Ganesh Chaturthi, the domestic bullion market witnessed a surge in gold prices, while silver remained unchanged. The yellow metal traded firm across the country, with 24-carat gold quoted between ₹1,02,440 and ₹1,02,590 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold ranging from ₹93,900 to ₹94,050 per 10 grams.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,02,590 per 10 grams, while 22-carat traded at ₹94,050. Mumbai followed closely with 24-carat at ₹1,02,440 and 22-carat at ₹93,900. Ahmedabad recorded retail prices at ₹1,02,490 and ₹93,950 respectively. Similar price action was seen in other key centres—Chennai and Kolkata both pegged 24-carat at ₹1,02,440 and 22-carat at ₹93,900.
Further north, Lucknow and Jaipur mirrored Delhi’s higher range with 24-carat priced at ₹1,02,590 and 22-carat at ₹94,050. Patna quoted 24-carat at ₹1,02,490, while 22-carat stood at ₹93,950.
In southern and eastern markets too—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar—gold rates firmed up, with 24-carat trading at ₹1,02,440 per 10 grams and 22-carat at ₹93,900.
Silver, however, stayed flat, continuing to trade at ₹1,20,000 per kilogram in Delhi’s bullion market, with no change in prices reported elsewhere.
