
New Delhi, October 8(HS): The rally in India’s bullion market continued unabated on Wednesday, with gold and silver prices climbing to new historic highs amid strong domestic demand. Both precious metals surged significantly during the day’s trade, setting fresh benchmarks in major cities.In the day’s trading, 24-carat gold rose by ₹1,150 to ₹1,250 per 10 grams, while silver jumped up to ₹1,000 per kilogram.
As a result, 24-carat gold was selling between ₹1,22,030 and ₹1,22,180 per 10 grams in most bullion markets, and 22-carat gold was priced between ₹1,11,860 and ₹1,12,010 per 10 grams. Silver prices in Delhi touched ₹1,57,100 per kilogram.

In Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,22,030 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,11,860 per 10 grams.
The upward trend was consistent across Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha.Analysts attribute the continued surge in gold and silver prices to heightened festival-season demand coupled with global market factors that have driven bullion rates higher. With the ongoing trend, traders expect prices may set further records in the days ahead.
