Kathmandu, May 21 (HS): Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel has officially taken office as the new Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank after oath-taking before Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut. Upon assuming his role, he expressed intentions to formulate monetary policies that align with the government’s budget plans, emphasizing coordination with stakeholders to boost economic activities in the country. He also addressed the resignation of Executive Director Gunakar Bhatt as an internal issue. Additionally, Poudel approved the printing of new Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes following his appointment.
