Chandigarh, March 16 (HS): In Jalandhar, a grenade attack targeted a YouTuber’s home on Sunday, following a similar incident at an Amritsar temple. The Punjab Police have not commented, while a gang linked to a Pakistani don claimed responsibility, citing comments on the Muslim community.
Around 4 AM on Sunday, a grenade was thrown at the home of a YouTuber in Raipur Rasulpur, Jalandhar, who had made disparaging remarks against the Muslim community. The grenade’s pin was removed, but for some reason, it did not explode, resulting in no casualties. Upon receiving information about the incident, Jalandhar Rural Police’s SSP Gurmeet Singh arrived at the scene with his team. The police have recovered the grenade. Two individuals came to carry out the attack. The person at whose home the grenade was thrown is identified as having a Hindu ideology.
Claiming responsibility for the attack, the Pakistani don Shahzad Bhatti gang stated in a video that the grenade was thrown at the home of a YouTuber in Raipur Rasulpur, Jalandhar, who made derogatory remarks against the Muslim community. This attack was conducted because of the disrespectful comments made against the Muslim community.
In the video, Shahzad Bhatti asserted that he orchestrated the grenade attack in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. It was thrown because the YouTuber used to insult his Islam, his Kaaba, and his prophets. Reports indicate that the Pakistani don received help from associates of Happy Pasiya, one of Punjab’s most wanted criminals, to execute this attack. The police are currently investigating the matter. SSP Gurmeet Singh stated that the police are examining every aspect of the case. There has been no confirmation regarding the viral video.
