Gariaband/Raipur, May 3 (H.S.): The hardcore Naxalite killed in an encounter with security forces in Gariaband, Chhattisgarh, has been identified as Ayatu alias Yogesh Korsa, a most wanted leader.
Superintendent of Police Nikhil Rakhecha confirmed his identity, stating Korsa was a division-level leader in the Naxal organization and faced multiple serious charges, including murder, conspiracy, and robbery.
A rifle and a significant amount of Naxalite literature were recovered from the encounter site. The SP commended the soldiers involved in the operation for their efforts in neutralizing this threat.
